GPS navigator
GPS Navigator (Global Location) system will identify the coordinates and assist drivers during the movements on the roads of the Azerbaijan Republic. The digital map of the republic (districts, towns, roads, buildings, addresses and the objects of interest) may be kept and used during the navigation process, search on the map and other operations.

GPS navigation is a satellite navigation system complex, which allows determination of the coordinates of an object with accuracy within a few meters.
Functional capabilities:
  1. Automatic selection of an itinerary by address. Search of a street or house on a map, especially in an unknown place, is not so easy. Therefore, during the use of this function, it is sufficient to enter the final point of the itinerary, and the system itself will automatically select the route.
  2. Personal reminding. The intensity of the traffic requires the drivers to be attentive and to focus on their thoughts. Therefore, any distracting factor associated with the route may lead to a road accident. Voice tracking of a route, i.e. reminding at essential points of the route essentially reduce these risks. A pleasant voice of a woman (or a man) warns about the nearest turn and arrival at a final point. If the database of the receiver has information about Road Police Service posts or radars, then it will warn about exceeding the speed limit.
  3. Receiver of GPS signals. The quality of identification of a point on a map and reflection of a place, in the part of the receipt and processing of navigation signal, is dependent on GPS receiver software and hardware realization. The quality of received signal is characterized by the sensitivity of the receiver’s RF section. Processing of the signal is carried out using specialized microprocessors. They ensure the reliable receipt of signal from satellites in the heavy environmental conditions of modern chipsets, high buildings or trees with dense leaves.

Our navigators and navigation system have a number of interesting functions that the classic systems lack for:
  • Transfer of its coordinates, speed and direction of movement to the monitoring centre;
  • Receipt of new versions of maps and programs by an inquiry or automatically. The possibility of receiving new versions of maps or programs, for our users, through the Internet;
  • Receipt of the navigator’s coordinates and direction with high accuracy using electronic accelerometer and compass, calculation of coordinates in the real time regime in places where a GPS unit does not work.
  • Disconnection of the GPS receiver from on-board computer;
  • The capability to access the data associated with congestion of the roads, updating of such data any five minutes.

As part of the corporate monitoring system (for example, “Fire Safety”, “Ambulance”, “Taxi”, police cars, rescuers etc.), our mobile navigators may also perform additional functions. For example, navigators may receive information for these machines from the monitoring centre about a target address (“where to go”) by means of transferring via mobile communication, or 3D model of the area may be received. This model may be very useful for a fire safety team, as it is more informative than a simple map in terms of planning force and facilities and location thereof. Similarly, ambulance cars may make inquiry, for example, regarding the availability of vacant beds at hospitals using on-board computers.
